A lion and a miniature sausage dog have formed an unlikely friendship after the little dog took the king of the jungle under his wing as a cub.

Bonedigger, a five-year old male lion, and Milo, a seven-year old Dachshund, are so close that Milo helps the lion clean his teeth after dinner.
The 500lbs lion dwarfs little Milo, yet after the dog took the disabled lion into his protection as a cub, Bonedigger has rarely left his side.

I now have this glorious mental image of a lion with a pride of dachshunds striding proudly across the Serengeti, the females bounding off in pursuit of zebras and fending off hyenas from their kill.

Oh, for fuck’s sake. Way to be overly dramatic. Shaving is “slightly mutilating”? There are women who are pressured into permanently mutilating their genitals in chronically painful and debilitating ways, and you’re trying to use the same term for the sort of hair removal that’s been in and out of vogue for women AND men at various points throughout history? Not to mention shaving with a razor is a LOT more humane than some of the ways people have removed hair over the centuries.

And hey, while we’re at it, why don’t we shame women who choose to be femme, for whatever reason they choose to do so? Because obviously if it’s mainstream then no one can ever choose it consciously, or simply choose it because they like it, or because it goes better in their mind with the clothing they wear. Nope, we gotta make a certain group of women feel bad in order to make our point. Not media, not misogyny, but subtly attacking the women who choose this way of temporarily altering their bodies.

Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home. Unfortunately you don’t know if you’ll be able to make it that far. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself..!!

NOW HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE…

Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously.

A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest.

A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating.

The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can perhaps buy precious time to get themselves to a phone and dial 911.

I remember one of the very first times I danced with my wolfskin at a pagan festival that allowed dogs, there was one poor pup by the fire circle who just freaked out every time I passed by in the dance circle.
